Inspiration: Coast scene with breaking waves (1840-45), Oil on paper
The first picture I ever purchased was a print of a Turner coastal beach scene. Having grown up on the North Norfolk coast, I’m magnetically drawn to wide, desolate, flat sandy beaches. These beaches gifted me with endless long walks, a huge sense of freedom and most importantly space – I was removed from technology and the fast paced 21st century living, just back to the natural rhythms of nature. Peace, tranquility and room to breathe.
