Inspiration: Snowstorm – Steamboat off a Harbour Mouth (1842), Oil on canvas
This painting acted as the catalyst for a solo exhibition. I had been playing with abstracting Turners Snowstorm at Sea, experimenting with colour palates and gestural mark making to capture the energy and dynamism – Chris (Hidden) spotted this painting and said – I love this, how about a solo show ….. and the rest is history!
